Godwin Xerri
Managing Director

Godwin Xerri is the managing director of a group of companies which comprises GreenwaveShipping.mt, Focal Maritime Services, Delta Container Services and Combined Maritime Services.

Throughout his career in the maritime industry, he assumed various responsibilities including that of ship owning and operating, shipbroking, ship management and ship agent. He served on various boards of corporations and companies, including Malta Freeport Terminals, Bank of Valletta plc and Tug Malta Co Ltd.

Before embarking on his private enterprise in the shipping industry, he was employed at Sea Malta Co Ltd, Malta’s national shipping line, where he occupied the position of managing director for six years.

He is graduated in economics and Maltese from the University of Malta as well as in maritime studies from the Norwegian Shipping Academy. He is a fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Shipbrokers and the Maltese Institute of Transport and Logistics. He is a visiting lecturer at the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI).

Anton Xerri
General Manager

Anton joined the maritime industry in 2001 and over these 21 years he has occupied various positions until reaching the post of General Manager that he occupies today.  His experience both in Malta and overseas puts him in good stead to support principals in the development of their liner activities. Apart from the commercial expertise, Anton overseas a sales team which is the company’s main link to the clients’ network.

Silvan Fleri
Deputy General Manager

A Management Graduate and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers with 23 years experience at Management levels within the Maltese Shipping industry including Roro Liner Operator, a Container Feeder Operator, a Ship Agency and Freight Forwarder, a Maritime Consultancy Firm and an Economic Consultancy Company. Experienced in organisation setup and administration, and in the assessment of Roro, Container and Bulk Liner services. Specialised in the charter of container vessels having negotiated and managed over 40 time or voyage charters in the past years.

Judith Cilia
Financial Advisor

Judith Cilia graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1993 and an accountancy degree in 1995. She obtained the warrant of a certified public accountant in 1998 and that of a registered auditor in 1999.

She worked with one of the big audit firms in Malta for three years as an audit senior in charge of audit assignments, covering various economic sectors. She then worked as a senior accountant in a local shipping company and in 2002 took the role of financial controller at Focal Maritime Services Company Limited.

In 2004, she set up her own practice performing accounting, consultancy, taxation and auditing services to a number of clients.

Judith is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and sits on the board of directors of a number of companies.

Jonathan Xerri
Documentation Manager

Jonathan joined the company in 2009 after obtaining his first degree in Social Policy.  He went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Business Administration which he applies in his responsibility in the running of the Documentation office and other operational services.  Since 2017 he has been promoted as Manager to the documentation office where he is responsible for maintaining and updating all documentation policies to ensure they are in line with all regulatory bodies as well as our principals and clients. He is also responsible for the day to day operations of the documentation office as well as liaising directly with all departments within the company and the board of directors.

Claire Debattista
Corporate Services Manager

The anchor person in the company.  Graduate in Communication studies from the University of Malta, she coordinates the communication between the office of the Managing Director and the management team.  Promoted to Manager Corporate Services in 2017, Claire serves as the focal point in the company for senior management, sales team, clients and suppliers.  

Jesmond Abela
Agency Services Manager

32 years of experience in the maritime industry including a year running the company’s office in Libya.  His knowledge of the Libyan market is still applied today to service clients of the company requesting support for their vessels and operations in Libya.  He specialises in ship agency services, including port operations, terminal operations, husbanding, bunkering, crew changes and above all relations with principals.  He assumed the role of Manager Agency Services in 2017 thereby making him the first point of contact both with the ship owners and the vessels.

Kimberly Camilleri
Accounts Manager

A warranted accountant who graduated from the University of Malta with a masters degree in Accountancy and is an associate at the Malta Institute of Accountants. Started as a junior associate at a leading audit firm and moved on to practice the accountancy profession in the maritime industry. Promoted to Accounts Manager in May 2014 whose main roles include the book-keeping leading to the preparation of monthly management accounts, preparation of tax returns, budgeting and business planning.
